Privacy notice

What we collect when you answer one of our ads, apply on this site, take a call from us or visit sakelabs.ai, why we use it, who receives it, how long we keep it, and your rights.

Who we are

SAKE LABS LTD ("SAKE Labs", "we") is the controller of your personal data. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 17491931, and our registered office is 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom.

For anything about this notice or your details, write to start@sakelabs.ai.

What we collect

When you answer one of our ads. We run lead forms on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Google. When you fill one in, the platform passes us your full name, email address, phone number, LinkedIn profile link and any answers you give to the form's questions.

When you apply on this site. The application form asks for your business (its name, what it does and, optionally, its website), your team size, what you would like AI to do for you, the tools you use today (optional), when you want to start, how you heard about us (optional), your name, your email address and your phone number. Fields marked optional are optional; we need the rest to review your application and contact you. To keep the form free of spam, we also keep scrambled (hashed) forms of your phone number, email address and IP address. Applications are stored in Google Cloud, in London.

When we call you. We may call you ourselves, or with VoxScript, our AI voice agent. If you agree when we ask at the start of the call, it is recorded and transcribed. We keep the recording and transcript, the number called, and the time and length of the call. If you say no, the call is not recorded.

When we email you. We keep the emails we send you and your replies, and whether each email was delivered, opened or clicked, as our email tool records it.

When you visit this site. Google Cloud, which hosts sakelabs.ai, logs every request: your IP address, your browser's user agent, the page you asked for, the referring page if your browser sends one, and the time. The application form is served separately, and Google Cloud's logs record your IP address and browser's user agent for each request to it too. This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising pixels or other trackers.

Why we use it, and on what lawful basis

  • To reply to your enquiry, call you and email you about it. You asked us to get in touch, so the basis is steps taken at your request before entering a contract (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • To record and transcribe calls. So we have an accurate note of what you asked for, and can check the quality of our calls, including AI calls. The basis is our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)). We ask your permission before recording, and when VoxScript is calling it tells you that you are speaking with an AI.
  • To follow up by email about your enquiry and our related services. The basis is our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)). Every email lets you opt out, and you can also write to us to stop.
  • To tell the ad platforms when a lead becomes a client. When someone who answered an ad becomes a client, our CRM tells Meta or LinkedIn, so their systems show our ads to people more likely to need us and measure whether the ads work. We send a scrambled (hashed) form of the email address or phone number and the fact that the lead became a client, never the content of your enquiry. The basis is our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)), and you can object at any time.
  • To keep the form and the site safe. The anti-spam hashes and the hosting logs serve this. The basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the service (Art. 6(1)(f)).

VoxScript may ask you the questions we would ask on a first call. It does not make decisions about you on its own: a person at SAKE Labs reviews every lead.

Who receives it

We don't sell your details or share them for anyone else's marketing. These companies process them for us, under contract and only on our instructions:

  • HighLevel (GoHighLevel): our CRM, where details from our ad lead forms, call records and emails are kept, and the tool we send emails from.
  • Twilio: places and records the calls VoxScript makes.
  • Google Cloud: hosts this site and the application form, in London (europe-west2).
  • Telegram: when someone applies on this site, the application, with the contact details in it, is sent to the SAKE Labs founders in a private Telegram group, so one of us can call you.

Meta, LinkedIn and Google run the lead forms on their own platforms and receive the conversion signals described above. They also use what you give them under their own privacy policies.

Transfers outside the UK

HighLevel and Twilio are based in the United States, and the ad platforms process data in the US and elsewhere. When your details leave the UK, they are protected by the safeguards UK law requires: the UK–US data bridge where the provider is certified under it, and otherwise the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.

/06

How long we keep it

  • Lead and application details, call recordings and transcripts, and emails: up to 12 months after we receive them, then deleted.
  • If you become a client, we keep what the contract needs for as long as it runs, and our accounting records for as long as the law requires.
  • Hosting and form logs: 30 days. Anti-spam counters on the form: about two days.
  • Meta, LinkedIn and Google keep what you gave their lead forms under their own policies.

/07

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your details, correct them, delete them, or restrict how we use them. You can object to any use based on our legitimate interests, including call recording, follow-up emails and conversion signals to the ad platforms, and you can ask for your details in a portable form. You can withdraw your consent to a call being recorded at any time, and you can tell us to stop sending you follow-up or marketing emails at any time; we will stop. Write to start@sakelabs.ai. We reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your details, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to your local data protection authority.
